Magna fg

Vivobarefoot – Men’s Magna FG

Is it a hiking shoe? Is it casual hi-top sneaker? It’s both and everything in between!

Like most Vivobarefoot shoes, the toe box on the Magna is wide enough for a full toe splay and should fit Correct Toes. The sole is completely flat and level, with no heel elevation, toe spring, or arch support. The outsole is about 6.5 mm (2.5 mm base + 4 mm lugs) and comes with a 3 mm removable thermal insole, which allows for great proprioception and mobility. This shoe lets your foot function like a foot.

The Magna’s water-resistant wild hide leather upper combines with an elastic merino wool collar for natural breathability and sweat-wicking properties. The thicker trail outsole also makes this shoe more approachable as a transition shoe for people used to support and cushion, yet also works well for those who spend more time barefoot.

primus lite III

Vivobarefoot – Women’s Primus Lite III Vegan Light

The Primus Lite is one of the first shoes produced by Vivobarefoot and is now in its 3rd iteration. The toe box is shaped like a healthy foot, providing ample room for a wide toe splay, and comfortably fitting Correct Toes for most. Like all Vivos, the Primus Lite III is completely flat, without even a hint of toe spring or heel elevation. This shoe is very flexible in all directions and the 4 mm stack height outsole allows for excellent proprioception potential.

The Primus Lite is a relatively low volume shoe and while the upper is certainly flexible, it’s not very elastic. So thicker feet that have more subcutaneous fat and more volume may find this shoe to feel too small, even if the length and width are appropriate. Loosening the laces or removing the insole can help create more volume within the shoe to help accommodate for this.

The Primus Lite III shines best as a multi-purpose athletic sneaker. This shoe performs well in the gym, while walking and running, and even for causal wear. The Primus Lite definitely provides the
foot with one of the most barefoot-like experiences a shoe can offer—every step taken in one is an excellent opportunity to strengthen and train your feet.
