One of our favorite new boots this winter season is the Lems Chelsea Boot for Men. Built on the same wide last as the Primal Zen, the Chelsea Boot is foot-shaped with an anatomical toe box that should fit Correct Toes for most. This boot is zero-drop (no heel elevation) with a slight but flexible toe spring. And while the Lems Chelsea Boot is more flexible than most boots, it’s a little more stable when compared to other barefoot, minimalist, and natural footwear.

The 11 mm stack height balances foot protection and sturdiness with proprioception and ground feel, making this a great boot for people used to more supportive footwear that are transitioning towards more natural shoes.

The full-grain oiled leather upper has a fully waterproof membrane to keep your feet dry in wet, wintry conditions. Lems Chelsea Boot also comes in a suede version without the waterproof membrane.

The 8 mm thick sole is protective, yet flexible, with a very flexible upper. One might consider these lightweight active shoes to be right on the line between a minimal sole and a transition shoe, making the HiLite a great footwear option for virtually everyone.

The Mont Blanc BOA from Altra is a lightweight long-distance trail running shoe with a dual-dial BOA Fit System that allows for a truly personalized fit. Built on the Altra “Standard Fit” last, the Mont Blanc BOA provides plenty of room for toe splay during your run. These trail runners are zero-drop, so there’s no heel elevation, but they do have a toe spring in the front. The stack height sits at about 30 mm with plenty of cushioning, so you won’t feel any rocks, sticks, bumps, or cracks in the ground —however, the shoe gives a lot of reaction and a nice pop to your run.

The upper is thin and light, complete with a BOA lacing system that allows you to quickly dial in a perfect fit. You can snug them up for downhill running, then quickly release them for a looser fit on the flats. What stands out most about this shoe is its lightweight and the customized fit capabilities (BOA Fit System) combined into such a technical shoe.

The Revive from Barebarics (partners of Be Lenka) is an excellent example of designing healthy and functional footwear with modern fashion trends. The toe box is generous and won’t cause or worsen bunions, but still felt a little snug when worn with unmodified Correct Toes inside. With the 5th toe spacer trimmed in halt Correct Toes fit much better. This zero-drop sneaker has no heel elevation or toe spring, so your feet stay flat on the ground. \

The Revive is also super flexible in all directions, and the 4 mm outsole allows for great proprioception and ground feel. Sustainable and vegan materials with perfect color stability, breathability and tear resistance were used in the production this shoe.

Casual footwear doesn’t get much more natural, minimal, or barefoot than this. The Primal Sawyer from Softstar is the definition of foot-shaped with Correct Toes easily fitting for most. Those who have difficulty fitting their feet into other natural and barefoot brands might find more success with Softstar, which offer shoes in both regular and wide width.

This shoe features no toe spring or heel elevation and the 6 mm zero-drop Vibram outsole is incredibly flexible, allowing for uninhibited natural motion of the foot and incredible sensory feedback. The super soft Nubuck leather is so lightweight, you’ll hardly notice them on your feet.

The Chestnut is another fantastic Correct Toes Approved shoe from Wildling. Admittedly, the toe shape appeared a little snug with Correct Toes on at first, but after adjusting the lacing slightly, the soft and malleable upper allowed the toe box to comfortably expand and form to the shape of the foot.

The footbed is completely flat without any heel elevation or toe spring and the 4 mm (or less)
thickness outsole really gives your feet an appropriate representation of the ground your standing on. The Chestnut is also very lightweight and flexible, allowing the foot to move in whichever ways it needs to.

The Wildling Chestnut is a excellent natural shoe with a minimal outsole that works great for varied and cool temperatures.
